You think you can handle ReGoregitated Sacrifice but you're wrong. Sure, you've seen it all, right? You've seen the extreme gore movies, the torture porns, the ultraviolent sexploitation movies. You can handle anything. Wrong. You are unprepared for the full-frontal assault on your mind that is ReGoregitated Sacrifice.

The story? We guess there is one. There's a chick and she's had a bad life and she kills herself, or something. Really, it's not entirely clear and it doesn't matter. What you get is sick, sick, sick images featuring sick people doing sick shit to each other. Like what? Well, vomit. Not just a little vomit and not just in some isolated scenes. Lots of vomit in many many scenes. Women vomit on each other, on the camera lens, even in each other's mouths. A dude vomits into a woman's decapitated head. Lots of vomit. But, it's much more than just vomit. There are also hordes of naked women. Naked women who vomit on each other. Naked women who piss (for real) on each other. Naked women getting brutally assaulted by anonymous cameramen. Naked women getting brutally assaulted by incestuous lesbian twins. Naked women having threesomes. Naked women getting choked by their own gory entrails. There's even a naked woman who has a tarantula inserted into her vagina which is then sewn shut. Oh and vaginal clamps. Plus, there are some women just stripping and vamping it up for those of you who can't handle all the rest. Of course, those women will soon be brutally assaulted in most of the ways we just described. Such is life - one minute you're stripping your clothes off for lesbian twins. The next, they are cutting you open. All of this extreme imagery is presented as if in the mind of a lunatic, or maybe the director really is a lunatic. It's hard to say. But, all of the violence, torture, rape, heads getting severed, pissing and vomit is put together with angsty girls talking about their body image issues and strung together with visually jarring cuts and sonically startling sounds. All in all, ReGoregitated Sacrifice plays like the worst ultraviolent sexually graphic nightmare you ever had. And you cannot handle it.

Review

ReGoregitated Sacrifice is not a snuff film. In fact, formally it doesn't even resemble a snuff film. A true snuff film (if one really exists) is an unedited single shot of someone getting brutally murdered by someone else. ReGoregitated Sacrifice is, in fact, heavily edited, both visually and aurally. Yet, as I was watching it, I couldn't help but think of snuff.

Perhaps, it was the feeling of intense psychotic immersion I got from watching the film. Between its graphic nudity, intense scenes of sexual violence, disturbed voice overs, jarring sound effects, brutal torture and ultra-quick jumpy editing, the film feels more like a nightmare or the Id of an intensely disturbed individual than anything like a narrative movie. Perhaps, the best description would define the film as equal parts torture porn, gore movie, alt porn, violent sexploitation and ultra-disturbing art gallery loop. Whatever it is, watching it is an experience I will most likely never forget. To call all the graphic nudity, real urination, extreme brutal violence, bloodshed, strangling and sexual tortures unsettling would be quite an understatement.

Perhaps the most surprising aspect of ReGoregitatedSacrifice is its feminism. Most low-budget, underground, extreme cinema that includes so much female nudity and sexual violence is distinctly misogynistic. And I'm sure that many feminists would strenuously object to its classification as feminist. But, in this case all of the brutality inflicted on the series of women who undergo extreme torture seems to represent society's infliction of psychological torture on women. Nowhere is this as clear as the monologue in which the suicidal protagonist talks about herself when she was blonde and 92 lbs.

ReGoregitated Sacrifice is not a movie for everyone. In fact, I can think of very few people who will be able to sit through all of the extreme violence, repeated scenes of real vomiting and urination and graphic nudity, let alone come out of the experience saying they enjoyed it. But, those willing to endure this cinematic exercise in torturing the viewer might find themselves having experienced some sort of catharsis.
