A prize-winning war journalist, Paul, returns to New Zealand when news reaches him of his father’s death to find the daughter of his ex-teenage-lover in his secret den. As the two become involved, others around them scrutinize the relationship causing the young girl to disappear. As the violent truth comes out, Paul is forced to face the family tragedy he ran away from in the first place.
