Heralded by many as a refreshing tale of a precocious girl's rite of sexual passage told from a woman's point of view and reviled by others for its wanton depiction of a manipulating, selfish brat, this saucy Gallic comedy will leave few viewers without a strong opinion. Lili, a pouty, sexy 14-year-old who is literally bursting out of her children's sizes, decides to lose her virginity while on vacation with her family. Her first choice for the despoiler is Maurice, a middle-aged playboy and musician, but our heroine soon finds that losing her virginity is not such an easy decision. (French with English subtitles)
