SKINOPSIS

Dario Argento movies sometimes disappoint those of us whose primary concern is boobs, but not this one. Eva Robins shows off her incredible pair in a public nudity on the beach scene and Mirella Banti mammaries come out for several looks as she runs from the killer.
REVIEW
Argento returns to the "giallo" murder mystery genre after a brief foray (via Suspiria and Inferno) into a more supernatural horror. Franciosa plays Peter Neal, a popular American writer who comes to Rome for a publicity tour. He soon learns that a killer is using his book as inspiration for a series of murders. Neal and his secretary begin to help the police in their search for the killer and, like all good Argento heroes, eventually set off on their own to solve the mystery -- descending into a world of madness and murder which mirrors the worst aspects of his bloody novels. Tenebre is remarkably strong in narrative content for an Argento film, and the film is brilliantly lit and shot, including one absolutely terrifying shot at the very end as the killer is revealed. The full-length director's cut. (aka: Unsane)
