A girl escapes from an asylum but before she is tracked down, she falls in love with a man who attempts to rescue her. But he only ruins himself in the process. Stylish, futuristically surreal and a departure from director Jean Rollin's familiar vampire territory, The Night of the Hunted features a mass of people suffering with insanity and collective amnesia.
