SKINOPSISIndian chicks (almost) never show their goods in movies. Hell, they can't even kiss in Bollywood movies, so leave it to a taboo-busting Indian-Canadian chick to deliver the goods here in this tale of two hot curry cuties who dust off the cobwebs in their laps (that've been left there by their dumbass husbands) and get to lesboland. Nandita Das' samosack comes into frame for a little more than a hot minute as her lezbefriend is licking her. Sure, it's not a shitload of flesh or anything, but it's hot and it won't give you nearly as much heartburn as the Saag Paneer at the all-you-can-eat buffet. -- Rick Stanko

REVIEW
From India, one of the many countries which still limits the freedoms of women, comes this original and emotionally charged drama about the forbidden love between two women. The newly wed Sita (Das) is a young and beautiful woman who comes to live with her husband's brother and his wife Rahda (Azmi) in New Dehli. Restless and independent and realizing that her arranged-marriage husband is far from faithful, Sita quickly finds her new world stifling. The older Rahda, on the other hand, offers the face of complacency, all the while holding within her rage and loneliness. Within this volatile atmosphere the two women strike up a natural friendship which leads to smoldering passions and a sensual but secretive romance. Mehta has created a taut, brave and invigorating love story that challenges the place of women in Indian society. (Filmed in English)
