It is the night of the big premiere for the hit indie "We Are Naked" in the Los Angeles Underground Film Festival. Aspiring actors Matt, Chad, Michelle and Katherine are beside themselves with delight. They feel like they discovered the new brand of independent cinema, true DIY (Do-It-Yourself) filmmaking. Thinking this could be their big break into stardom, the four drive out to Chad's cabin in the middle of the woods to write and shoot their own feature for less than $1,000. As the weekend slowly progresses, the team begins to realize that it has no ideas. Before they know it, they are caught up in their own hilariously awkward personality conflicts. Perhaps a little too caught up to realize that they are not alone. Writers/directors Mark and Jay Duplass, the comedic minds behind last year's tragic and funny breakup movie The Puffy Chair, have made an incredibly unique sophomore effort. Equal parts funny and scary, to say that it's Noises Off meets The Blair Witch Project wouldn't quite be on the mark, but it's pretty darn close.
