From the writer-director of the visually interesting (but ultimately disappointing) Hardware comes this mystical tale of a demon (Burke) who walks the South African veld looking for doomed souls to revitalize his life force. Once again, style tends to overpower director Stanley's story line, thereby lessening the chill factor of an otherwise gripping horror film.
