Imagine a futuristic Casablanca, but with a silicone-enhanced Bogart packing automatic weapons, and you have, in a C-cup, the plot of this camp showcase for TV sex symbol Lee. In this adaptation of the comic, she plays a former soldier-now-nightclub proprietess who's content to wait out the ongoing Second American Civil War. Her peace is shattered when an ex (Morrison) walks in, on the run because of his association with a freedom fighter. He enlists her aid to help them escape. As a piece of kitsch, Barb Wire is somewhat enjoyable, but it's all just rather flat. Adding to the camp value is Lee's nonexistent acting ability. The production values are of the "always raining because it looked cool in Blade Runner" variety, and the action scenes are competently done.
