The Man Who Fell to Earth
1976, 139 min
Country: Great Britain Studio: Anchor Bay, Criterion Cast: David Bowie, Candy Clark, Buck Henry, Rip Torn Director: Nicolas Roeg Screenwriter: Paul Mayersberg Original Author: Walter Tevis Our Rating:
SKINOPSISRocker David Bowie plays an alien who lands on Earth in the decadent '70s, and promptly indulges himself in free sex. Plenty of female nudity (especially from Candy Clark), and sex scenes that are rumored to have not been simulated.
REVIEW
Bowie stars as the frail and mysterious visitor from another planet who unknowingly threatens American industry with his powers. A tremendously original sci-fi drama presented with the surreal and mind-boggling sensitivities of director Roeg.
