REVIEW
Stoltz stars in this Luc Besson-influenced splatter film as an American safecracker who travels to Paris to help his childhood friend (Anglade) knock off a bank. Stoltz soon finds himself trapped in a nightmare that makes Griffin Dunne's wild taxi ride in After Hours feel like a sunny stroll through a garden. Anglade and his comrades, a self-proclaimed band of political freedom fighters, force the wary Stoltz into a wild night of drinking, smoking hash and shooting heroin. Delpy plays a call girl whom Stoltz hires his first night in town and who later, it turns out, is a secretary at the targeted bank. All style and no substance, the film has a few entertaining moments, but is ultimately unfulfilling and pointless. Editor's Suggestions
