SKINOPSISLaura Palmer's tits are all over this tale of partner swapping expatriate couples. She's topless in the opening scene and a few times after that. Aida Lopez is also fully nude (with beauteous bush!) posing in a barn and Laila Robins bares boobs on a beach and a hint of her fur when this Martin Mull-looking guy takes off her chastity belt while she looks terrified. -- Rick Stanko
REVIEW
Comfortably expatriated Cyril and Fiona (Dance, Lee) live in unrooted self-obsession in an ancient, impoverished Italian village. It's 1970, and their marriage reflects the morqal ambiguities of the time. They meet by literal accident another displaced couple. Catherine and Hugh (Robbins, Lane) have been on the road for a year, traveling with their three daughters as Hugh photographs. These two English couples, slumming in the Third World, exploiting without purpose, indulging without satisfaction, become enmeshed as Cryil and Fiona seek Catherine and Hugh's participation in their open relationship. The story unfolds over itself, non-linear and episodic, revealing the incredible conceit of the self-proclaimed guru. A lushly photographed, laconically paced adaptation of the John Hawkes novel.
