SKINOPSIS

This racy 70's drama about a race car driver (Jones), a Detroit carmaking dynasty and it's newest automobile, The Besty has Kathleen Beller skinny-dipping, Lesley-Anne Down's rear-end and Katharine Ross breast-feeding. Gentlemen, start your engines!
REVIEW
An all-star cast, headed by a slumming Olivier, gives varying degrees of over-the-top performances in this overwrought potboiler adapted from Harold Robbins' best-seller. With only occasional moments of interest, this heavy-handed melodrama charts the course of an auto manufacturing dynasty. Olivier plays the patriarch, and Duvall is the grandson now running the company. About as subtle as a...well, Harold Robbins novel, this is the usual cacophony of lurid melodramatic loves and familial treachery.
