Trailer Park of Terror begins with the violent origins of Norma (Nichole Hiltz of FX’s “The Riches”). The headstrong beauty, desperate to leave her trailer park life behind, finds a non-trailer park boyfriend, but an accident instigated by cohorts Marv and Roach quickly dashes those hopes. Norma’s chance meeting with The Man (country music superstar Trace Adkins) taps into her inner rage and, with rifle in hand, she lays waste to the trailer park inhabitants. Fast-forward to the present: six troubled teens and their optimistic youth minister are returning from a retreat during a raging storm when their van breaks down near the “Trucker’s Triangle.” The group seeks refuge at a ramshackle trailer park where they find Norma: wig a little askew, cleavage busting out and ripe with one of her cautionary tales. As the teens retire for the night, a ravenous brood of soulless, blood-crazed rednecks come out to play, and soon the hapless group realizes that they are trapped in hell. Award-winning music video director Steven Goldman (Faith Hill, Bruce Springsteen) and writer Timothy Dolan received a unanimous cheer of approval from audiences at the 2008 Slamdance Film Festival with their Southern gothic humor, rockabilly country music score and generous splattering of blood. And with Hiltz’s breakthrough performance as Norma, a new horror icon is born, filled with just the right amount of redneck sex appeal, rage and humorous sass.
