SKINOPSISWatch very closely in the scene where she gets dressed while Billy Dee sits static with his head in his hands and you will see a glorious flash of Miss Ross's dreamtit. It isn't much, but if you've been perving after her since "Baby Love", then it is certainly worth it.
REVIEW
An inferior, even ridiculous drama set in the fashion world with Miss Ross making it big as a model. Williams is her put-upon boyfriend, a community activist who disapproves of her profession. Looking like a fey Bernard Goetz about to go on another bender, Perkins plays the photographer who discovers her and then goes all bitchy and neurotic when she rebukes his romantic overtures. (Can you blame her? Miss Perkins, that is.) Comic Bruce Vilanch has a cameo as a fashion designer; the rest of the pedigreed cast looks like they want to get the hell out of there as quickly as possible. So wildly over-the top and taking itself way too seriously, this Valley of Dolls-ish mess is pure trash and for the most part not even fun on a camp level. Watch it back-to-back with Eyes of Laura Mars and have a 1970s fashion-themed messy night if you must. You might want to tank up in a heavy way first... you'll thank us for it. -- Erik Schut
