SKINOPSIS

Seven feet tall. Four hundred pounds. A rusty steel plate screwed into his skull and razor-sharp fingernails that pluck out his victims' eyes. Reclusive psychopath Jacob Goodnight (Kane) is holed up in the long-abandoned and rotting Blackwell Hotel, alone with his nightmares until eight petty criminals show up for community service along with the cop who put a bullet in Jacob's head four years ago.

The first mainstream (non-porn) film from porno director Gregory Dark.

REVIEW
Wrestling giant WWE wisely targets its first feature film towards its given 18-24 year old male demographic. See No Evil is a gory slasher piece starring Kane, one of the federation’s flagship characters, as a run of the mill Psycho killer who runs a hotel alongside the memories of his abusive mother. Kane is a 6’9” monster whose mongoloid like facial features forced him to wrestle beneath a mask for the majority of his career. His expertise in the tortured villain department shine through in the film especially during scenes in which he feels guilty for impaling people on meat hooks. The character is ultimately uneven though; sometimes he’s a supernatural being, other times a sexual deviant. The victims in the film are a group of juvenile delinquents played by a group of untalented unknowns who volunteer to clean up the creepy old hotel in exchange for shorter sentences. For some reason the hotel has lots of two way mirrors and hidden passageways which lead to a great deal of voyeuristic chase scenes. The eye-extracting, bone-crunching bits of gore are top-notch and the film actually supplies a few effective surprises. The bland, shaky camera direction and the flashy jump-cut time killers get annoying very quickly, but the film’s simplicity and low budget charm make it worth a look.
