SKINOPSISYou know what they say about horseshoes and hand grenades? Well, add a nice set of hoo-hahs to that list. Platinum blonde babe Sophie Monk doesn't get naked (Unrated my ass!) but she is perpetually wet and half-naked ...which is 'almost' as good.
REVIEW
Toted as being “From two of the six writers of Scary Movie!” After sitting through Date Movie, one can only think that perhaps the other four writers were the funny ones. Trying desperately to get laughs, usually through the lowest common denominator, in the worst possible way (like an incessantly shitting, necrophilic animatronic kitty), Date Movie immediately brings to mind that pathetic dad who tries to be cool and funny and not only fails miserably time and again but winds up embarrassing himself, his mortified wife and his children he’s trying to impress (who will undoubtedly be terrorized by classmates until they graduate high school). There are brief moments of small humor, but for the most part this romantic comedy spoof drops the ball, and where Scary Movie was as clever as it was absurd – Date Movie is utterly clueless and misses the point completely. -- PJ
