FROM THE LINER NOTESSimon, 18, scratches out a living unloading crates in the farmers’ market. Noemie, 16, attends school and helps her father in his neighborhood bar. One day, their eyes meet, they share a few words, but circumstances conspire to keep them from realizing their love.When Simon’s boss presents him the opportunity to earn some extra money by illicit means, Simon hesitantly says yes. But the simple heist goes horribly wrong, and a policeman is shot. Simon escapes and tells Noemie he must flee the city at once. Hell-bent on accompanying him, Noemie steals her father’s Mercedes. Now on the run in a stolen car, with the police on their trail, Simon and Noemie can finally be together. Is it just clandestine teenage romance, or the start of something more meaningful? Can they run forever, or will the law catch up with them?
