Growing up in the ‘70s isn’t all that easy with hippy liberal parents. Sixteen-year-old Alex thinks she’s got it made. A promising future at Julliard, a boyfriend from the cool crowd and a great group of friends. When Alex’s wacky parents end their marriage, her world begins to crumble. Alex’s boyfriend drinks too much; her dance teacher’s guidance becomes overbearing and her friends are not there to support her when she needs it most. When Alex falls into the arms of her mother’s ex-lover, things begin to spiral out of control.
