After divorcing her husband and giving up alcohol, Joyce Chandler (Trish Goff) needs quiet space of her own where she can recover and adjust to her new life. Joyce manages to find a secluded Manhattan apartment that suits her perfectly… or so it seems, until Joyce meets Charlotte Bancroft, her upstairs neighbor. It isn’t long before Charlotte makes Joyce’s perfectly peaceful space a nightly hell on Earth. Joyce tries various ways of dealing with her neighbor’s disturbing behavior, but bit by bit, Joyce’s job, health and sanity star to suffer. She must take action; she must silence the Noise.
