REVIEW
Imagine a mix of Six Feet Under and Twin Peaks as directed by Rob Zombie to get a sense of the nasty vibe this low-budget thriller gives off. Old school in tone, pace and style, this film revels in the grotesque, the misfits of society who mingle with the rest of us. The plot invloves Delores, a disturbed young woman who gives new meaning to the literal and metaphorical definitions of the word "baggage", moving to a small town and getting a job at the local funeral parlor. Necrophilia, grave robbing and black market body parts soon become integral elements of the story. So intent are the creators of this film (a handful of guys multi-tasking in a big way) on depicting the disgusting underside of a small town that writer-director Alan Rowe Kelly cast himself as a woman. The low-budget/high style film is a creepy, moody piece that establishes plenty of atmosphere and story before opening the faucets of the inevitable bloodbath.
