Charlie Taylor just spent a year in jail for a crime he didn't commit. Upon his unexpected early release from jail, he returns to his long time girlfriend Randi Davis (Kira Reed). Muchito his surprise, Randi has asked her ex-boyfriend and newly appointed District Attorney, Carl Olsen, to help Charlie get a job. Reluctantly, Charlie goes to work for a woman who introduces herself as Emma de Layley (Dawson), the wife of wealthy businessman Lance de Layley. Charlie now learns that his "job" consists of staging a kidnapping of Lance's daughter Melissa. Charlie soon realizes that Emma and her lover Malcolm Daniels, may be setting him up to take the blameifor yet another crime he didn't commit.
