Together (2000)

Nodding at filmmakers such as John Cassavetes and Robert Altman and with numerous stylized zoom-ins, warm hues and a fly-on-the wall approach, Moodysson's (Show me Love) second feature takes us into a 70s Swedish commune. This commune is home to granola families, troubled couples and gay/bi/lesbian residents.

Our story begins when Goran over-fills the house when he moves his sister and her two kids in with him. The house tensions rise as Goran's wife starts having sex with a young, obsessed Socialist and another couple splits up. The wife of the split couple becomes lesbian while the husband is courted aggresively by the gay house resident. Musical-beds, ideologies, personal affairs and sexual experimentation all contribute to the daily realities of hippie commune living.
