REVIEW
Derivative, moronic and infuriatingly trendy, this adaptation of the video game sends a group of obnoxious teens to a remote island for a rave party (!), only to have them pitted against a horde of zombies. While the ridiculous, Matrix-inspired slo-mo shots of zombie fighting are incongruous (and eradicate whatever horror there might have been), they do become unintentionally funny after the first ten times they're used. Otherwise, there's nothing to recommend here, and horror connoisseurs will be insulted, to boot. A rip-off of Italian zombie flicks while aiming for the video-game crowd at the expense of true terror.
