Jim and Michelle are getting married, but the bachelor party is where the real fun happens in this raunchy, hilarious sequel to the first two pieces of "Pie" (all of which are available unrated). Nikki Ziering provides a topless cameo.
REVIEW
This by-the-numbers third entry in the American Pie series sees many of the cast members converging around the nuptials for Jim (Biggs) and Michelle (Hannigan). Of course, the true purpose of the reunion is to show off a series of gross-out gags involving pubic hair and granny sex, while the film lumbers in between the set pieces as it struggles to set up each one. Thankfully, the presence of verbal diarrhetic Stifler (Scott) puts a lot of energy into the otherwise flagging proceedings; his dance-off in a gay bar is an unrestrained relief from Jim and Michelle's surprisingly sappy romance. As Michelle's dad, Willard reunites with Levy and Jennifer Coolidge, a treat for fans of Christopher Guest's stock company. Yet all these talented performers also highlight just how disappointing the script is (Levy in particular has but one line that's funny). The unrated home video edition adds some marginal jokes while further deadening the pace.
