REVIEW
Seconds after being named the successor to his mentor as guardian of a sacred scroll, Chow Yun-Fat must battle evil Nazis intent on using it for nefarious deeds. Sixty years later (magically kept young by the scroll), the monk must discipline a young ne'er-do-well to become his successor, and continue protecting the scroll from evil forces. He finds his man in the person of. . . Stifler? Yes, the perpetually smirky Scott (of the American Pie films), who has a high old time, well, smirking his way through the film. Monk is such a poorly directed, unimaginatively written and tedious piece of derivative junk, even Chow looks bored. It's just a series of rote chase scenes and false emoting, leading to a desperate, kiddie-show-esque climax.
