REVIEW
With such a high-profile cast, one's expectations for View from the Top would at least be slightly higher than a fourth installment of, say, Sweet Home Alabama. However, thanks to a formulaic script, few laughs and forced acting, that's exactly what you get. Paltrow plays a small-town girl following her dreams to become a world-class flight attendant. Also on board are a backstabbing friend, the on-again/off-again boyfriend and the gratuitous gay man thrown in for "spice." Paltrow walks through her character as if she is on drugs (which she must have been to accept this role in the first place). Even Myers in his role as the cross-eyed airline instructor is softened so much that he barely elicits a giggle. --Mikhail McMillan
