REVIEW
The absolutely stunning Avery (Richard T. Jones) has just gotten the great news that he's got a full swimming scholarship for college. Avery is a well-spoken, serious guy who wants to escape the poverty cycle with his girlfriend Krista and child. Meanwhile, Krista's brother Dre hangs out with the dangerous Clean Up who always packs a gun. When Avery wins a swim meet, the three friends go out to celebrate. Police pull the three guys over and a good night goes real sour, real fast when Clean Up pulls the gun on the cops. The police arrest them not only for the streetside violence but for a murder earlier in the day committed by other African-American men. All three are sent to prison for three separate, yet brutal experiences. Avery tries desperately to stay free of trouble while in prison, but struggles with it. Clean Up dives right into the drug trade while Dre becomes the bitch of a white supremacist. Several scenes of Dre being brutally raped are featured in these violent prison scenes. Lots of hip hop stars populate the cast of this action-packed prison drama that is certainly of interest to our many customers who enjoy incarceration films. Scott Cranin
