Having carved niches for themselves, Bullock and Grant have both proved to be reliable performers in breezy comedies that audiences have usually flocked to. Bullock is the beautiful-but-she-doesn't-know-it, klutzy charmer, and Grant the handsome-but-he-doesn't-know-it, stammering charmer -- both equipped with an arsenal of sassy one-liners, a mass of insecurities and an array of beguiling smiles. That's exactly what you get with Two Weeks Notice, an amiable, seen-it-before romantic comedy that benefits from the delectable first-time pairing of the two stars. Grant plays a real estate tycoon who can't seem to manage without his assistant/lawyer Bullock. When she gives notice, it takes a little time for them to know they were meant for each other. The two stars wring out whatever laughs are available in the formulaic script, using the talent and personality they've been nurturing for years.
