REVIEW
Strikingly similar in many ways to the concurrently released Darkness Falls, They follows several young adults, who, as children, suffered "night terrors" — and they seem to be starting again. Sporting some nifty monsters and a chillingly downbeat ending, They has some quality ingredients. Unfortunately, much of the film feels like padding — and rather bland padding at that. A disappointment coming from director Harmon, who handled a simple horror script with far more aplomb with The Hitcher. Despite a few effective moments, it's difficult to shake the feeling that They would've been a smashing short — instead of an also-ran feature. Editor's Suggestions
