REVIEW
In this wonderful drama from director Cox, a widowed elderly man rekindles a romance with an old flame, who happens to still be married. When her dullard of a husband learns of the affair, it forces him to reevaluate his marriage -- and his entire life -- while she ultimately must choose between the men. A heartfelt, dramatically rich love story, Innocence provides a fascinating look at one woman's choice between doing the "right thing" (finishing out her years albeit without true love) or follow her heart. It's a fresh surprise to see seniors unabashedly enjoying healthy sex lives on screen for once, without condescending titters, and the acting, editing and writing are across-the-board terrific. Though the finale slightly disappoints, the end result is an emotional, rewarding affair.
