REVIEW
While an integral (and still very funny) member of The Kids in the Hall, Bruce McCulloch continues to come up empty on his own as a director. Witness this paceless, obvious and formulaic comedy that manages to render the usually endearing Lee unwatchable. After being confronted with a videotaped promise to pay for the college education of his niece (who the hell was taping it, anyway?), Lee realizes he must steal the thirty grand to make good. Enter immature buddy Green (in his usual role), and a series of schemes that not only go horribly wrong but fall comically flat. And in what would normally be an admirable development, Green stays largely under control, denying the movie its only chance at gaining energy.
