SKINOPSIS

The final film in Todd Verow's "Addiction Trilogy" (preceded by Little Shots of Happiness and Shucking the Curve), The Trouble with Perpetual Deja-vu is probably his finest to date - a moody mix of sex, sea and searching.
REVIEW
Danielle (Devery Doleman) is living in Barnstable, her hometown on Cape Cod, with her shopping channel obsessed mother Marie (Philly) and her husband, real estate agent Vincent (Eric Sapp). Her marriage is a shambles, as she goes out each evening, parties and begins her affair with Joe (Bill Dwyer). Everything seemed so sunny when she married her goth boyfriend right out of high school, but now he's shaved his locks and become a salesman! Yech!

Coping with another gray Cape Cod winter the only way she knows how, partying in Boston and getting drunk with her psychic friend Vanessa (Brenda Velez). The affair with Joe begins with the lending of a coat and leads to stealing from weekend homes and risky public sex. Most of Danielle's life is spent drunk and high in this powerful final chapter in Todd Verow's Addiction Trilogy.

It's in the details where Todd Verow scores. The real sets, the actors who don't seem like they are acting and the video with an almost human feeling to it. He also throws tricks our way, such as using drag queen Sherry Vine as the hostess of the shopping channel, and having Philly grow her hair in an attempt to become a "normal" housewife. Another pleasurable film from Todd, Jim and company.
