REVIEW
Henstridge plays a drug-addicted cop on a matriarchal Mars in the future, put in charge of bringing in uber-criminal Desolation Williams (Cube at his most Cube). Unfortunately, meddling scientist Cassidy has let Mars' former inhabitants out of their tomb, and now they are possessing the colonists. Unabashedly retro and B-movie goofy, Ghosts of Mars can also be a bit of fun, with its hodgepodge plot culled from about 20 different movies, Cube's tuff-ass caricature, and some decent beheadings to make up for the slow parts and a rather laughable lead villain. It certainly could have been scarier, but Ghosts of Mars defiantly supplies an abundance of old-fashioned cheese. Carpenter also delivers a good, crunchy soundtrack.
