Fear (Reese Witherspoon)

When adorable adolescent Witherspoon finds herself the object of obsession of bad-boy Wahlberg, bad things ensue, especially bad things for -- surprise -- the family pet and the sensitive best friend. The screenplay appears to have been written with much help from a psychology textbook as there is no shortage of quien es mas macho posturing between boyfriend and Mr. Father Knows Best (Petersen) and a "You're not my mother" conflict between daughter and stepmom. A standard, predictable genre thriller.
