Dracula 2000

A group of hi-tech (but really stupid) thieves decide to rob the Van Helsing vault -- and discover a sealed coffin. Hmmm. . . better open it right then and there! Silly but surprisingly enjoyable film has some choice lines ("I don't drink. . . coffee"), a lush look (courtesy of Crouching Tiger cinematographer Peter Pau) and a classy Van Helsing in Plummer. However, there is an abundance of product placement, and a colossal mistake by the filmmakers which occurs more than halfway through, from which the film never recovers. Don't expect much and you might have some fun here (such as a very imaginative origin explanation for Dracula).
