REVIEW
Zahn and Black make a good comedy team as Wayne and J.D., lifelong friends of the titular Silverman (Biggs), who feel compelled to wrest him from the clutches of his evil, obnoxious fiancé Judith (Peet). A mix of the hilarious and the annoying, Saving Silverman does have its pluses: the three friends' obsession with Neil Diamond is worth a few laughs, and any movie where Lee Ermey plants a wet kiss on Jack Black's lips is worth a look. Unfortunately, Biggs is blandness itself (and completely unsympathetic in his emasculated worship of his fiancé), and Peet is almost unwatchabe (to be fair, she's supposed to be). However, in the end, the film's few laughs aren't enough to overcome uneven pacing, stupid human tricks and questionable shenanigans.
