REVIEW
Two stoners, Chester and Jesse (Kutcher, Scott), have such a wild night partying they wake up not remembering a thing. They spend the entire film trying to piece together what happened. Not exactly a premise that would have had Billy Widler jumping up and down, but one that has a certain amount of promise in the dumb slacker comedy genre. What transpires is a curiously sweet but laughless exercise in pot jokes, sex jokes and alien encounters. A lesser Bill and Ted, Kutcher and Scott are agreeable enough, but the tame screenplay reduces them to stealing from Abbott and Costello, Cheech and Chong, Parker and Stone, but without any identity of their own.
