REVIEW
Clooney becomes the third actor to don the mask and cape in this star-filled, flashy, megabudget testament to Hollywood gloss. This time, Batman and his Boy Wonder Robin (O'Donnell) are up against a truly titanic villain: the blue-faced Mr. Freeze (Schwarzenegger). While more substantial dramatically than its predecessor, it nevertheless succumbs to a problem that has plagued all the sequels: it focuses too little on its hero. Clooney is relegated to under ten minutes of screen time as Bruce Wayne, and his scenes as Batman almost all involve him playing second fiddle to the villains or to Robin and their new partner Batgirl (the unimpressive Silverstone). At least the extravagant sets and shiny costumes look good. Editor's Suggestions
