SKINOPSISPenelope Ann Miller gets topless onstage and off as the stripper girlfriend to the former gangster.
REVIEW
Scarface star Pacino and director De Palma reunite to create another Hispanic gangster drama. But unlike that film's Tony Montana, Carlito Brigante (Pacino) is a man defined by romanticism and simplicity. After serving five years in prison, Carlito simply wants to go to the Bahamas to start a car-rental agency. However, loyalties to his friend David Kleinfeld (stunningly portrayed by Penn), a corrupt and double-dealing lawyer, threaten to drag him down. Pacino delivers a solid performance, and there's amazing camerawork; though one can only feel that this territory has already been heavily traveled.
