Heathers meets Carrie in this psychologically mature tale of teen angst and retribution about a circle of student misfits whose prankish use of witchcraft against their tormentors gets out of hand when one of them (Balk) loses control of her own personal demons and becomes a bitch of a witch. Director Fleming takes what might have been more "Gen-X" drivel and invests it with surprisingly keen insight and malicious wit.
