REVIEW
Newman is splendid as the chain gang convict who's always in trouble with the boss and subsequently becomes hero to all of his fellow prisoners. The film is highlighted by the now famous egg eating scene. An excellent supporting cast is headed up by Martin ("What we got here is a failure to communicate").
