REVIEW
Using the same mythology created in the original but building a completely separate story from it, a new team of filmmakers has made a darker vision of the undead avenger. Ash (Perez), a single father, is killed for accidentally witnessing a murder one night -- the vengeance of the Crow rises. Ash is informed of his dark purpose by Sarah (Kirshner), the only character to appear in both films, and soon sets his sights on a drug lord his crew. Looking like a music video spawned in Clive Barker's nightmares, this sequel is filled with ritualistic tattoos, piercings, and enough religious imagery and symbolism to elevate it above its pulp-action roots.
