SKINOPSIS

Spike Lee cools down Rosie Perez's fiery-hot bod by rubbing an ice cube all over it while she's naked. We had no idea her tits were that big!
REVIEW

Spike Lee's brilliant, controversial and thought-provoking Do the Right Thing bulldozed its way into the American consciousness - forcing people to take sides on many of Lee's radical assertions and making race relations the hot topic of the summer of '89.

The story revolves around a single street in the Bed-Stuy section of Brooklyn during one of the hottest days of summer. Spike's attention is given to the citizens of the street from 'da Mayor (Davis is terrific as the suds-soaked elder who offers snatches of street wisdom) and Mother Sister (wonderfully rendered by Dee) to Mookie (Lee is his rambunctious self as the un-enlightened delivery boy for Sal's Pizzeria). Aiello also shines as Sal.

Superbly acted and filmed, Do the Right Thing is not simply incendiary - it is downright great filmmaking.
