REVIEW
The third and final entry in Coppola's Godfather trilogy is a worthy, if flawed, finale -- though it certainly isn't in the same league as the two classics which came before it. Pacino, in a forceful performance, returns as the reluctant Mafia boss, Michael Corleone, who is lulled back into gangland activities after trying to go "legit." If the picture has one major flaw, it is the casting of Coppola's daughter Sofia in the pivotal role of Michael's beloved daughter, Mary. The actress doesn't have the depth required, and in some scenes other actors can be noticed "holding back." Garcia, however, as Michael's illegitimate nephew, is exceptional as a low-level criminal with loftier ambitions.
