REVIEW Although labeled as Spielberg's first "flop," this epic WWII comedy is definitely not the dud it was proclaimed to be. Over-produced as it may be (it's the It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World of the '70s), there are some very funny sequences in this story of wartime hysteria in Los Angeles. The film is highlighted by great special effects, and features a solid all-star cast. This is the Director's Cut, which includes 28 minutes of footage not in the theatrical release.
