Bigger isn't always necessarily better; this loud, only occasionally funny sequel to the hilarious 1996 remake certainly proves that point. Murphy returns as: Sherman Klump, that endearing overweight college professor; Buddy Love, his on-the-make alter ego; and the entire Klump family. Murphy is a marvel creating such distinct characters; too bad the screenplay is nothing more than a collection of toilet humor and sex jokes.
