A weekend in the lives of a group of friends, as they take ecstasy, go to raves, have sex, and bitch about their dead-end jobs. First-time director Kerrigan has fashioned an infectious, ultra-stylish comedy out of potentially hackneyed material. Spot-on observations on sex, friendship, ambition, family and a slew of other topics are complimented by a fun soundtrack and some big laughs along the way. Even at a scant 84 minutes, Human Traffic does lose energy towards the end, but it remains an entertaining, insightful film experience.
