Butterflies Are Free

Based on the Broadway play, Butterflies are Free is a sensitive and touching comedy-drama about a blind young man (Albert) who is determined to be independent. Leaving his family home he ventures to San Francisco where he befriends his eccentric next door neighbor, played by Hawn. They become friends and lovers, only to have their burgeoning relationship hampered by the over-protective mom, played by Heckart, who won an Academy Award for her work.
