Whatever it Takes (2000)

A weak teen comedy, Whatever It Takes follows two guys who each like girls who don't like them. They strike a deal to. . . oh, forget it. It's the same stale stuff cribbed from She's All That, Some Kind of Wonderful and, yes, Cyrano de Bergerac. Sokoloff is extremely cute and appealing as the "good" girl, but the fact that the filmmakers shoehorn her into skintight tops sans bra at every opportunity -- and O'Keefe as the "bad" girl is in various stages of undress -- brings a tacky and desperate air to this mess. This is utterly laughless, and -- Sokoloff notwithstanding -- utterly charmless.
